After having explored most breakfast places in Cambria (we live locally), we settled like so many other locals on the Redwood Cafe as one of our primary go-to breakfasts hangouts. The staff are always friendly, attentive and helpful. The menu is comprehensive with sensible substitution options, and the dishes are consistent between visits. As for the food itself, the fresh ingredients are seasoned well and cooked perfectly. Although the cafe doesn't have stunning "hanging gardens of Babylon" like views, it does have a cozy, "family owned" atmosphere; and during our visits to the Redwood Cafe we have always had great customer service.
I drove out here from Forida especially to take my ex-wife to a delicious brunch at the Moonstone Beach Cafe. I called the cafe only to find that they stopped having this fantastic brunch several months back. The hostess referred me to the Redwood cafe and said that their eggs benedict was just as good and it was. I was very impressed with the food, the service and the warm and cozy atmosphere. Thank you Redwood cafe, you shaved my trip to the west coast.
They were slammed on the Sunday morning that we went, and we still got seated within minutes. The breakfast sandwich and burrito were delicious. As well as all the girls where very attentive and nice. Will definitely be coming back on future visits!
Great little diner for breakfast or lunch. Great inside or outside seating areas and very courteous staff. My wife enjoyed some biscuits and gravy while I devoured my omelet, and my son (very picky eater) said these were the best pancakes ever! We will be back for sure.

Redwood Café was exactly my kind of place, traditional and super cozy, just how I like it. The atmosphere felt welcoming right away. I had the traditional Benedict, which was wonderful, the staff were all friendly and attentive. Great food, great vibes I really enjoyed the whole experience.

Delicious food and AWESOME customer service! This little family owned spot was one of our favorite restaurants while on vacation! The food tastes homemade and hugs your heart. We will visit again when we visit Hearst Castle again!
Loved our late breakfast at Redwood. The staff was super gracious and welcoming even though we arrived less than a half hour before closing. The breakfast potatoes are excellent! Recommend the breakfast scramble. It's really cheesy and perfectly cooked.

The cafe felt cozy, welcoming, and family-oriented from the moment we walked in. Yolanda and Leticia were incredibly kind and hospitable. They checked on us regularly, made us feel right at home, and provided genuinely fantastic service. If you’re visiting Cambria and looking for a comforting breakfast with great people and great food, I highly recommend Redwood Cafe. We left happy, full, and already talking about coming back.
